Duke University Police are investigating the fourth armed robbery involving a student this year. According to a campus crime alert, a female student was walking alone near the East Campus Steam Plant when a gunman stole her bag. Investigators said the gunman was driving a dark-colored vehicle when he stopped and brandished his weapon From the University: On Tuesday, Sept. 22, at approximately 9:45 p.m., an armed robbery was reported by a student walking along Campus Drive near the East Campus Steam Plant. The suspect was a passenger in a dark four-door car that pulled over. The suspect revealed a handgun and demanded the student's bookbag. The student was not injured, and the car was last seen driving on Campus Drive heading away from East Campus. The suspect was described as a bald black male in his 30s, of medium to dark complexion with a large build. He was described as wearing a dark baggy sweat shirt and dark pants.
