02/24/2009 12:00 AMA dispute over $20 and a parking spot at an apartment building near Boise State University led two Boise brothers to be arrested on battery charges early Tuesday morning. Isaiah Matt Hanson, 23, is charged with felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving without privileges. His brother, Josiah Jeff Hanson, 24, is charged with misdemeanor battery. A man told Boise police Josiah Hanson shoved him and Isaiah Hanson then tried to run him over with a car, hitting him in the leg, during a confrontation just 12 a.m. Tuesday at a bank on Vista Avenue. The victim was not badly hurt in the altercation, police say. Police were called to the bank in the 1100 block of South Vista Avenue by the victim, who told officers the dispute began at his apartment near BSU a short time earlier when he found a car parked in his numbered space. The victim told police he called a towing company when two men, later identified as the Hanson brothers, approached and told him they would give him $20 if he called off the tow truck. The victim agreed. He said the Hansons told him to follow them to the bank on Vista Avenue, where they would pay him the $20. But when they got there, the victim told police the brothers didn't give him $20 but began arguing with him. That’s when the victim said he was pushed over and Isaiah Hanson tried to run him over. |
