01/21/2009 06:00 PMMichigan State University police are investigating the second sexual assault to be reported on campus in the past two days. MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said an 18-year-old female student told police that at about 6 p.m. Wednesday she was assaulted by a unidentified man who was reportedly soliciting donations inside East Holden Hall, where the victim resides. The suspect grabbed the woman after she opened her door to offer a donation. “He indicated he wanted a hug, and he pressed his body against hers and fondled her,” McGlothian-Taylor said. The student then pushed the suspect and told him to leave the room. The suspect left the area, and the victim, who was not injured, called police. Police canvassing the area learned that the suspect had been soliciting in both Holden and Wilson halls, McGlothian-Taylor said. |
